Creative Mentorship

I understand the challenges of finding supportive creative communities where both you and your unconventional ideas feel accepted and valued. Whether over a coffee, a walk, or a Zoom conversation, I hope to create a reflective space for filmmakers and storytellers to explore ideas, creative uncertainty, artistic process, and alternative approaches to storytelling beyond mainstream conventions.

Editing and work-in-progress Consultation

Editing can often feel like a solitary process, especially when working independently or within a small team. Drawing from my background in documentary filmmaking and editing, I offer reflective feedback and creative conversations for filmmakers developing works-in-progress, personal stories, and exploratory film projects.

Together, we can unpack narrative structure, emotional rhythm, themes, and the evolving shape of a story — creating space to reflect, question, and discover what the work is trying to become.

COLLABORATIVE EXPERIMENTAL PROJECTS

As a boutique creative collective, AVF specialises in producing innovative and non-conventional film projects that prioritise experimentation, cross-cultural creativity, and co-creation as the heart of its artistic practice.

Our Approach

These are some of the fundamentals that guide us at AVF

Paying attention to small moments, rituals, memories, and lived experiences that shape our understanding of the world.

Creating space for filmmakers to look inward and develop stories grounded in emotional truth and personal experience.

Embracing filmmaking as a shared process of listening, learning, and exchanging perspectives.

Encouraging openness, empathy, and cultural awareness through storytelling and creative exchange.

Supporting filmmakers interested in exploring new forms, perspectives, and ways of seeing.
